Disney World is such a magical place, especially for toddlers. A trip to Disney World can be exciting, exhausting, and overwhelming as a family with a toddler. But, can you imagine taking a trip alone with your toddler?
The first time I tried, I was nearly in tears! I was trying to make the best use of our annual passes at the time, so I decided to take a trip to Disney World with my toddler when my husband was gone for a few days. The difference was that I was rolling all of the emotions, expectations, and responsibilities onto myself. No one would be there to rescue me when I was too tired to move or if my toddler decided to have a meltdown.

So I roll up to Target in my totally basic mom SUV, after visiting the Starbucks drive-thru, because that’s what basics do. And I am immediately greeted by the bright colors and shiny newness. Every time I go into this place, I swear it’s like they just know. They know what I am doing, how I’m feeling, and what I’m thinking about; and they lay all of their cute stuff out there accordingly.
Target’s ultimate goal is to prey on the basic moms whose minds are already moving a million miles an hour (either because they’re hyped up on caffeine from their Starbucks or because they’re trying to restrain their children).

So this is a topic that everyone hears and yet one that we all try to avoid. But why? Are we afraid of something? Are we subconsciously thinking someone will think less of us? Are we just really not that concerned about it and hope that one day it takes care of itself? I don’t know about you, but the clutter in my house is something that I’ve been focused on and really trying to work at. Stress and clutter do go together! Since we live in South Florida we rarely get many cold nights. This week we have had the coldest temperatures of the year. With temperatures in the 50’s it was time to take our Pink Hot Chocolate to the next level and make it into a magical drink – Unicorn Hot Chocolate. This hot chocolate is made with strawberry white chocolate drink. I topped it with whipped cream, fruit-flavored marshmallows, and colorful sprinkles to give it a whimsical look. It is easy to recreate!
What you Need for Unicorn Hot Chocolate3 tsp of Pink Hot Chocolate Mix. Recipe to make the mix is here. 1 cup of hot milk Whipped cream Sprinkles Colored Marshmallows
How amazing is that baby smell? Those of us currently in possession of smelly elementary school kids longingly remember that squishy, powdery deliciousness as though it were yesterday. Sadly, at my house, that tantalizing eau d’enfant has been replaced by armpit stench and foot odor that emanates from those precious little bodies of mine like a pungent green cloud.
Fear not. If your kids have lost that fresh infant scent, I have some solutions. Even though my third grader might balk at smelling like a newborn, I’ve added a few things to my grocery list I used to buy when my children were younger. Do you smell the end of your womb nugget’s babyhood rapidly approaching? [...]
