Bottom Line

We have had our little buddy, Milton, for several days now, and I can honestly say that it is helping Noah to feel more comfortable with trying new foods. Noah even requested that we take Milton to the grocery store with us the other day. I have a feeling Milton will be our mealtime companion for many years to come, as Noah’s little sister will be dining with him next!

Where are all my mamas of picky little eaters?! I, for one, am raising my hand way up in the air! My oldest, Noah (3.5 yrs old), is as picky as they come. Would you believe me if I said he’s never eaten an actual blueberry before?! Or that he’s never eaten more than about 3 vegetables his entire life?! If it can be found in the produce section of the grocery store, chances are he doesn’t eat it. I should probably clarify a bit because he has eaten plenty of fruit + veggie baby food back in the day. Since becoming a preschooler, he does drink the occasional smoothie (with hidden veggies), and will also snack on a variety of toddler/big kid fruit pouches. But, when it comes to fruit + veggies in their true form, he won’t dare touch them. Luckily, he takes an amazing high quality vitamin supplement every day, but needless to say, his diet could use some work!

That’s where our new friend, Milton, comes in! Milton arrived at our doorstep Monday morning to help teach a certain picky eater of mine that trying new foods can be FUN! He arrived in the most adorable packaging complete with the original “Meet Milton” children’s book. Here’s a look at what’s inside this cute little box.

Milton Review

The book is an adorable story of Milton’s journey to earth. The book also features quick + simple tips for parents to help encourage healthy eating habits. Here’s a little sneak peek inside the book. I think we have read this book about 50 times this week. No joke!

Milton Review

In the days prior to Milton’s arrival, I began talking up Milton to Noah. I explained to him that a really cool little blue dude was on his way to meet him. I told him that Milton was going to be his new meal time companion. Noah was SO incredibly excited to meet him, and kept asking when the mailman would be delivering him. Clearly, he was happy to officially meet Milton!

Milton ReviewAfter a quick wash in our kitchen sink, Milton was finally ready to sit down and eat! Milton’s 1st meal with us was lunch that day. Milton’s 1st bite of food in our house was a local, organic blueberry. And guess what?!Noah ate one, too!! Later that day, Milton joined us again for dinner where he shared some of our delicious ravioli. After seeing Milton “try” a bite of ravioli, Noah then ate his very 1st bite of ravioli himself! Noah has only recently begun to like pasta, but would never, ever try ravioli (he’s very picky about his noodle shapes). He ended up eating 4 huge raviolis that night! I wholeheartedly believe that he wouldn’t have done that without Milton! After seeing Noah eat his ravioli for dinner, I was instantly sold on Milton!

The following evening, the hubby cooked us up some burgers on the grill. That night, Noah ate his very 1st bite of lettuce after feeding a bite of lettuce to Milton! Noah was very reluctant to try the burger that evening, but he did take several bites of lettuce, so I consider it a win!
