Bottom Line

I think that if you are giving a baby shower gift to a new mom or have an idea of a toy for a child who is at the sitting-walking-standing phase, this is a great buy. For the price, you cannot beat it!

VTech hit the nail on the head when they developed the VTech Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker for young children who are attempting to sit alone or walk. This product is rated high amongst the VTech brand of toys due to its educational content as well as ability to be adaptive to all the stages of your baby.

It has an easy-to-remove activity panel for floor play or travel play in the car. You can then step it up with the fun-to-maneuver walker. Vtech added pinning gears, five piano keys, three colorful rollers, three light-up shape sorters, three light-up buttons, and a telephone handset which initiate lights and sounds to interact with your baby. The colors and use of lights and design is visually appealing as well.

I personally loved the educational components of this walker and the additional help of developing fine motor skills through the many sensory activities it provides.  The Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker keeps baby on track by teaching shapes, colors, animals, and music in a way that your children will love. It comes preloaded with 10 songs and over 70 interactive sounds and has the ability to make sound louder or softer for play.

VTech also did a great job making this toy durable and sturdy. It’s lightweight design and easy transport makes it possible to pack up and take to Grandma’s house or travel in the car.

We bought this product for our twin daughters as they started to crawl. VTech’s imaginative toys easily transition from sitting to pulling up and standing very well. The front activity panel disconnects from the walker base and allows for children who are crawling the ability to play and interact with the features. As our girls got bigger, the toy easily helped them to pull up and then stand. I was nervous when they began to push the toy while trying to walk because I was afraid it might be too light and slip, but it did a great job helping maintain their stance and weight. The toy is unable to roll without being pushed and there was never another concern over falling. Even after they were able to walk freely, they enjoyed singing the songs and playing with this.

The only negative that I can personally contribute is that it can be bulky and in the way at times. Being that we had twins, we actually had two of these in our play room and they did take up more space that I would have liked. On the same token, this not that great of a negative because since they were always present in the room, our children would play with them constantly, therefore the need to put them away never really happened.

It does require the use of 2 AA batteries, but these were easy to install using a simple screwdriver. One added bonus that the VTech brand succeeds with is the use of Frustration-Free or Hassle-Free packaging. When your children are ready to open and play with this toy, there isn’t a need to sit down and unpack it for hours.

VTech's Sit-to-Stand Learning Walker Review

Overall, this was one of the best purchases that we ever made for our twin daughters. We actually purchased two and it comes in two colors (standard Orange or Lavender) and my children played with this constantly. I highly recommend this product and feel that the cost (retail price $29.99) is something you cannot beat!

The V-tech walker is AMAZING. We have had it for 3 years, and are now on baby number two. We absolutely love it and highly recommend it. I bought it in the states and brought it to Norway where I live.
